One of the leading providers of electric vehicle charging solutions, Wallbox, has announced Hypernova, which is the company’s fastest and most complex public charging station yet. The product was showcased at the IAA MOBILITY 2021 show that was held in Munich on September 6.
This product was announced considering the fact that electric vehicles are the future now hence there is a need for public chargers that are super fast, long-lasting, and easy to repair.
“We are thrilled to unveil our fastest public charger to date, which can fully charge an electric vehicle in under 15 minutes,” said Enric Asunción, CEO, and co-founder of Wallbox. “Hypernova will be a game-changer in building fast public charging infrastructure, especially on highways where drivers need to recharge and keep going,” Asunción added.
Hypernova can deliver up to 350 kiloWatts of power. This power allows the car to fully recharge while making a rest stop and is thought to be tremendously faster than all the other superchargers on the market. It also comes with software optimizations that allow it to adapt to available power and the number of EVs connected, which makes it the ideal choice for public charging along long highways.
Its new cable management system allows easy handling plus stores the cable inside the dispenser unit, which increases durability and keeps the installation process safe and clean.
Also offers various modes of payments which include RFID, screen AR Code, and credit card reader which can accept credit cards from around the world.
All the chargers at Wallbox are designed with 4 principles in mind that make it easier for the company to operate and scale them:
- Reliability
- Efficiency
- User Centricity
- Flexibility
Wallbox also offers various solutions which can be designed to satisfy customer’s needs and will last the whole lifecycle.
“Our focus in building this suite of public charging solutions has been to help charge point operators increase their revenue while reducing maintenance costs and providing future-proof solutions,” said Eduard Castañeda, CPO and co-founder of Wallbox. “This, combined with the customer focus we put into all our charging solutions, ensures that our public chargers serve both our partners and the EV drivers who will use them day-to-day.”
